Improve Your Riding in Ireland – Clonshire Equestrian Centre
Sue Foley, a winner at the Royal Dublin Horse Show, Dan Foley and members of the British Horse Society trained staff of the Clonshire Equestrian Centre have put together a program that allows equestrians from all over the world to learn the art of equestrian sports in a laid-back, low-pressure, safe environment. The Clonshire Equestrian Centre sits just outside of Adare, Ireland’s “prettiest village.” Its large indoor and outdoor arenas, polo field, cross country course and miles of countryside are just waiting to be galloped, making the daily lessons that focus on your riding challenges or work to bring you to the next level.
Riders attending the program are housed at the Foley Family home.
This popular training session keeps people busy all day. Sue and Dan run an intensive training program that accents individual attention and a relaxed atmosphere. Riders should expect to spend three hours or more each day riding horses that are appropriately matched to each rider’s skill on the flat, over stadium jumps, hunt, cross country and equitation fences and natural obstacles.
An afternoon off is built into the schedule so you have some time to yourself. Cross Country International can advise you on a wide variety of things to do with your free time. Supplemental activities in which riders may participate include plenty of time to enjoy trail rides through the surrounding countryside. Visit hunt kennels, tack shops, hunt clothes tailors, great pubs, historic sights, castles and some of the most beautiful country in the world. Explore historic Limerick, fabulous local shopping, play a round of golf or share a pint and great conversation with other local riders.
