Still nowadays shepherds pass through the north eastern part of Catalonia. In wintertime the herds stay in the mild coastal areas and in summertime they make their way up towards the Pyrenees. The 40 million year old Pyrenees stand round polished, soft and rolling in contrast to the surrounding wild, intriguing rock formations.
